Obstetric Anaesthesia Training Programme in Hyderabad

In 1997, Fernandez Hospital became the first hospital in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad to introduce a 24/7 Anaesthesia Service dedicated to Obstetrics and Gynaecology—transforming maternal care in emergency settings.

Our partnership with Prerna Anaesthesia & Critical Care Services forms the backbone of this specialised service. Their expert team ensures timely, coordinated care through continuous collaboration with obstetricians, neonatologists, and critical care specialists.

To strengthen expertise in this critical field, Fernandez Hospital offers a one-year Fellowship in Obstetric Anaesthesia, affiliated with the Association of Obstetric Anaesthesiologists (AOA), India. Through hands-on learning, clinical mentorship, and structured academic training, fellows gain the skills needed to deliver safe, evidence-based anaesthesia care in maternity settings.
